Mera Peak Expedition Adventure Awaits!

Mera Peak Expedition (6,476m) is an exhilarating and challenging adventure in the Himalayas, offering a remarkable opportunity for climbers to experience high-altitude mountaineering. Located in the Everest region, Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal, and it attracts both experienced climbers and adventurous trekkers alike. The journey to the summit takes you through remote valleys, ancient Sherpa villages, lush rhododendron forests, and stunning alpine landscapes. The climb itself is non-technical but requires good physical fitness and acclimatization. Once at the summit, you are rewarded with breathtaking views of five of the world’s highest peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. This expedition combines the thrill of climbing with cultural immersion and the natural beauty of the Himalayas, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

Mera Peak Expedition Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu.
Transfer to hotel.
Explore Thamel, a popular tourist district.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2

Fly to Lukla (2,860m) – Trek to Chutanga (3,430m)

Take an early morning flight to Lukla and trek through rhododendron and pine forests to Chutanga.

Day 3

Acclimatization Day at Chutanga (3,430m)

Spend the day in Chutanga for acclimatization, taking short hikes around the area.

Day 4

Trek to Thuli Kharka (4,320m) via Zatrwa La Pass (4,600m)

Cross the Zatrwa La Pass, enjoying stunning views, and descend to Thuli Kharka.

Day 5

Trek to Kothe (3,600m)

Descend through the Hinku Valley, walking alongside the river, and arrive at Kothe.

Day 6

Trek to Thangnak (4,350m)

Continue trekking through forests and meadows to Thangnak, a small Sherpa settlement.

Day 7

Acclimatization Day at Thangnak (4,350m)

Take a rest day to adjust to the altitude, with short hikes around the area, including to Sabai Tsho Lake.

Day 8

Trek to Khare (5,045m)

Climb gradually through the valley, with impressive views of surrounding peaks, reaching Khare for the night.

Day 9

Acclimatization and Pre-Climb Training at Khare (5,045m)

Spend the day preparing for the summit, practicing climbing techniques, and acclimatizing to the high altitude.

Day 10

Trek to Mera High Camp (5,780m)

TTrek towards Mera High Camp with stunning views of Everest, Makalu, and other peaks, setting up camp just below the summit.

Day 11

Summit Day – Mera Peak (6,476m) – Return to Khare (5,045m)

Start the summit push early in the morning. After reaching the top of Mera Peak, descend back to Khare.

Day 12

Contingency Day

A reserve day in case of bad weather or other delays.

Day 13

Trek to Kothe (3,600m)

Descend back down to Kothe through the familiar trails, enjoying the lower altitude.

Day 14

Trek to Thuli Kharka (4,320m)

Climb back to Thuli Kharka, retracing your steps through the Hinku Valley.

Day 15

Trek to Lukla (2,860m) via Zatrwa La Pass (4,600m)

Cross the Zatrwa La Pass again and descend to Lukla for your final night in the mountains.

Day 16

Fly Back to Kathmandu (1,400m)

Take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

Day 17

Departure from Kathmandu (1,400m)

Your Mera Peak Expedition comes to an end as you depart from Kathmandu.
